Just Fresh® Opens New Restaurant Concept in Charlotte - Quick Service, Superb Food, Green Principles Create Unique Dining Experience Called Fine Casual

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 5, 2007 – Just Fresh® has launched a unique restaurant concept that promises to create a new niche in the nation’s food service industry with the opening of its kitchen/café in Charlotte’s RiverGate shopping center at NC 49 and NC 160.

The new restaurant provides fresh, great-tasting food and the atmosphere of a table service restaurant with the speed and pricing of a quick service restaurant – all in a setting that’s friendly to the senses and the environment.

“We spent about a year recreating our menu,” said G. Dana Sinkler, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of Just Fresh. “We wanted great-tasting, healthy items for breakfast, lunch and dinner – with a strong emphasis on natural, minimally processed foods and enticing variety. It’s impossible to look at this menu and resist checking it out.

“The concept is unique in the nation’s food service industry. We call our new idea Fine Casual Dining. It’s the perfect concept for today’s busy, health-conscious families.”
The new generation Just Fresh Kitchen Café is built on five principles as outlined in the mission statement.

At Just Fresh, we believe:
• In cooking wholesome, natural, great tasting food.
• In creating spaces where our guests feel at home.
• In practicing green building principles.
• In partnering with our communities.
That you are what you eat so…“Eat well, feel great.”

The 3,600-square-foot restaurant features at least 18 design details dedicated to green principles, including:
• The ceiling tile in the dining area and restrooms contains 70 percent total recycled content.
• Countertops consist of 100 percent recycled glass solid surfacing, free of volatile organic compounds.
• The carpet tile in the dining area contains Eco Solution-Q fiber and uses EcoWorx backing with water-based adhesive.
• The wall covering in the lounge area and restrooms is made with Duraprene, an earth friendly composite of reclaimed wood fibers fused with latex.

The Just Fresh Kitchen Café menu is designed to attract guests morning, noon and night.  Breakfast includes made to order omelets with Eggland’s Best® Eggs to whole grain pancakes and muffins.  Lunch fare focuses on tossed to order salads, signature sandwiches and wraps made with all natural deli meats, even turkey and veggie burgers.  Dinner’s Green Plate Specials feature Coleman’s all natural beef and pork, plus salmon, chicken, pasta and a veggie plate.  Specialty wines and beers round out the offerings.  The Just Fresh Kid’s menu is extensive and offers healthy alternatives to run of the mill fast food fare.  Other touches include fresh blended smoothies, shakes, floats and coffees, desserts, cookies and brownies.

“Even on a busy school night, Mom and Dad can take the kids to Just Fresh for a tasty, healthy dinner that can squeeze into their budget and their schedule,” Sinkler said.
Over the past year, under new ownership, Just Fresh has expanded into Georgia and Kentucky, while developing its new concept. The just-opened RiverGate restaurant will serve as the prototype for future locations.

Just Fresh® Bakery Café & Market Partners with Louie's Kids for Kid's Week - A Fundraiser to Raise Finances for a Camp Scholarship and Awareness about Healthy Living

"Kid's Week" to feature Local Wellness Speakers and Children's Activities for September 25-28, 2007, at Just Fresh Belle Hall in Mt. Pleasant.

Charleston, SC, August 23, 2007 – Just Fresh® has teamed up with Louie’s Kids, a national non-profit organization that raises awareness about childhood obesity, for an exciting week-long fundraising effort to promote healthy eating and wellness for children. “KID’S WEEK” will take place at the Just Fresh Belle Hall location in Mt. Pleasant from Tuesday, September 25, through Friday, September 28. In addition to unveiling the new, healthful Just Fresh Kid’s Menu, “KID’S WEEK” will promote the Louie’s Kids principles of eating high fiber, low fat foods and walking 10,000 steps a day, as well as the importance of families eating well together in a “slow” and affordable way.

In addition to promoting healthy eating and general wellness in children, Louie’s Kids also raises money to provide scholarships for obese and overweight children to attend a premier weight loss camp in the mountains of North Carolina, Wellspring Adventure Camp. The camp has a proven track record of turning lives around and improving the lives of children who might otherwise head down a long road of poor health and suffering. “KID’S WEEK” will raise much-needed funds to send a child to Wellspring Adventure Camp in 2008. Each scholarship costs roughly $5,000.

“KID’S WEEK” will kick off on Tuesday, September 25, at 6 p.m. with live music and children’s entertainment on the patio at Just Fresh Belle Hall at 625 Long Point Road in Mt. Pleasant. Throughout the week, kids will be invited to stamp their footprint on a “Steps to Healthy Living” mural, which will be donated to Louie’s Kids. Just Fresh will be offering several giveaways at the restaurant, as well as special daily discounts on the new Kid’s Menu. Each day of the fundraiser will also feature a different community wellness expert. Speakers will include Dr. Deborah Bowlby, an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at the Medical University of South Carolina, and Janice Newton, the MUSC Kids Boot Camp Program Director at the Harper Student Center.
